Belief is more than just a word. It’s an action and a thought.
Often we hear people say “I believe in you”, but what does that mean? Since starting Sprinkle TLC, I have encountered quite a few instances where other’s actions have not always mirrored these words. Both family and friends have shown at times that they are not true believers based on the responsive skepticism they exude. This post is meant as an introduction to self-love. It is meant to provoke your thoughts, catalyze your actions and initiate your transformation.
Basing our self-worth on the response of others is something we are all guilty of. As a mom of two amazing kids, a wife to an incredible husband, a full-time career woman, self-taught artist and an entrepreneur my “me time” is normally seldom to non-existent. As a result, I used to look to others for validation of my new ideas and my appearance. It then dawned on me that perhaps this was not a good approach. The long term effect of this was that similar to an addict in withdrawal. When I received little or no response or attention it began to manifest into negative raw emotions.
The question we should all be asking ourselves is “how do we create a recurring self-belief system?“.

Just Believe
This answer seems so simple but for many of us, it is still so difficult to achieve. How do we just surrender to these two simple words? How do we allow our thoughts to not get in the way? The answer is, you just do. You just let go of any negativity, insecurity or confusion you are feeling and look in the mirror every morning and say to yourself “I AM A BEING CAPABLE OF ACHIEVING GREATNESS AND I BELIEVE IN ALL THAT I DO”.

Seek Out a Life Coach
The amazing thing about Life Coaches is that they provide the tools to assist individuals in improving certain aspects of their life. There are different types of life coaches. Some ask, “how does this differ than therapy?” A life coach does not diagnose nor prescribe any medication. They seek solely to ignite an inner flame and bring out the greatness within others. They can exist independently or specialize in multiple areas. Some examples of life coaches

Create Positive Affirmations
An affirmation is a direct conversation with your brain. It is an instruction/directive in which you are telling your brain how to manage your feelings, your beliefs and how to convert them into a manifested outward appearance. For it to be effective, you need to:
-
- Believe in the power of possibility.
- Believe that the personal statement created is something that will push you forward within your reasonable means.
- Be passionate and intentional about your request or instruction.
There are many other ways of “Showing Up for Yourself”. These are only a few suggestions, but a great start in adjusting your mindset. Once you can truly define what believing in yourself means then legitimately believing in others will become second nature.
